As part of Celebration of National Sports Day, the Meghalaya Chess Association (MCA) in collaboration with Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs organized “One Day Rapid Chess Tournament 2023” (Senior & Under-15 Category) at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School, Shillong on August 26, 2023. In the Senior category,
Ardhendu Mandal, Bobby Lyngdoh & Gautam Chakravarty bagged the 1st, 2nd
and 3rd prizes respectively. In the Under-15 category Advitiya AG (1st), Devraj Dutta (2nd) and Aurick Kandar (3rd) were the winners. Swapnil Tembe, Director,
Education & Literacy attended the function as the Chief Guest.
