SHILLONG, Sep 2 : The vice president of Taekwondo Federation of India L Sukoon Sing has informed that only one Taekwondo association in a state will be recognized by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
Sing who is here to attend a two-day Taekwondo black belt examination in Shillong said, it is seen that in many states many taekwondo associations are running and championships are organized without any rules or guidelines which is invalid.
He said that according to the rules of the TFI, only one Taekwondo association in a state will be recognized by the Federation and apart from this, if someone runs another association in the same state, then it is against the rules and the National Taekwondo Federation will not recognize it.
Quoting guidelines of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, he said players will be selected only from the recognized association for national games or for international games.
