Shillong, September 4: UP police have apprehended a man for allegedly making death threats against self-styled godman Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bagheshwar Dham.
Raj Kumar Agarwal, the Superintendent of Police (Rural), stated, “We have arrested Anas Ansari for posting a death threat to Dhirendra Shastri on the social media platform Instagram.”
The arrest followed the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) by a member of a local Hindu group concerning the social media post at Hafizganj police station earlier in the day.
