Primary teachers hold protest demanding old pension scheme

Shillong, Sept 4: The All Meghalaya Primary School Teachers’ Association (AMPSTA) organised a protest rally on Monday to demanding revival the Old Pension Scheme, which has been suspended since April 2010.

They are also demanding  payment of the fourth installment of 25 percent revised pay for deficit teachers, a regular monthly salary for the deficit school teachers, and quality education.
