3 sentenced to life imprisonment for murder

Jowai, Sep 4: The Sessions Court of West Jaintia Hills district on Wednesday pronounced its verdict in a 2006 murder case. The court has convicted three persons and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
The three accused namely Shem Langstang, Tharki Langstang and Hiarki Langstang were accused for murdering Lobi Chullet on the 1st June, 2006 at “Ait Shrieh” of Thadsning Village.The deceased’s brother, Barley Chullet had lodged an FIR in the Jowai Police Station following which a case was registered under section 302/201/ 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The case was then investigated by Sub Inspector C Lamare following which he filed a charge sheet against the three accused.
