Shillong, Sept 7: Residents are encouraged to upload Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA) documents to revalidate their demographic details in Aadhaar. This will help in continued Aadhaar validity leading to improved ease of living, better service delivery and enhanced authentication success.
To update their documents in Aadhaar, UIDAI had earlier provided the provision through the online website based myAadhaar portal (myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in) free of cost starting from 15.03.2023 To 14.09.2023. Based on the satisfactory response from residents, it is decided to extend the online facility of document update for 3 more months i.e till 14.12.2023 at myAadhaar portal. To avail this facility, resident can visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
This service is free only on the online website based myAadhaar portal and will continue to attract a fee of Rs 50 at physical Aadhaar centres. To locate nearest Aadhaar Enrolment/Update centres, kindly visit https://bhuvan.nrsc.gov.in/aadhaar.
