Natl Lok Adalat settles 235 cases

SHILLLONG, Sep 9: 837 pre-litigation cases and 450 pending cases were taken up for settlement in the National Lok Adalat organised by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority in all the districts of Meghalaya under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) on Saturday, a statement here said.
According to the statement, a total of 1287 cases and of which 235 cases were settled for a total amount of Rs 84,47,480 only in the National Lok Adalat.
