Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ soars at Box Office, crosses 300-crore mark worldwide

Shillong, September 11: The much-anticipated film ‘Jawan,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, made its theatrical debut on September 7 to resounding success.

As per India Today, the movie is setting the box office on fire, with impressive earnings both in India and globally. In its opening weekend alone, ‘Jawan’ raked in a remarkable Rs 287 crore in India, and its worldwide earnings have already crossed the Rs 300-crore milestone.

On its very first day, ‘Jawan’ delivered an outstanding performance, amassing Rs 74.50 crore across all languages in India. It achieved a historic feat in Hindi cinema by earning Rs 129.06 crore globally on its opening day. Trade reports indicate that on Day 4, which fell on September 10, the film added Rs 81 crore to its Indian earnings, bringing the total collection in India to Rs 287.06 crore. Impressively, on Sunday, September 10, ‘Jawan’ maintained a commendable overall occupancy rate of 70.77 percent.

Released worldwide on September 7, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, ‘Jawan’ is directed by Atlee and boasts a stellar cast including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani, with Deepika Padukone making an extended cameo appearance. The film offers a delightful mix of entertainment, featuring SRK in a dual role as an intelligence officer and a cunning thief.

Shot in multiple locations including Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Aurangabad, ‘Jawan’ features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his solo debut as a Bollywood composer.
