Graduation Day fervour grips St. Anthony’s College

SHILLONG, Sep 21: St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, reverberated with fervour as the college celebrated Graduation Day 2023 with great enthusiasm and pride at a glittering programme on Thursday.
Prof Sanjeeb Kakoty, a distinguished academic from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, was the chief guest, who delivered an inspiring keynote address.
The college recognised and celebrated the outstanding academic achievements of its students by presenting awards to 136 rank holders who have excelled in their respective fields of study.
Furthermore, the institution acknowledged 23 subject toppers, spanning across 28 or more disciplines, encompassing both undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
The college also celebrated the accomplishments of its dedicated faculty. Nine faculty members successfully completed their PhD, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys.
The programme took a moment to recognise and appreciate the dedication of staff members who completed 25 years of service to the institution, underscoring their unwavering commitment to the college’s mission and values.
Prof. Sanjeeb Kakoty, in his keynote address, emphasized the pivotal role of today’s youth in addressing pressing global issues such as climate change and pursuing sustainable development goals.
He encouraged the graduating students to channel their knowledge, skills, and passion towards creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.
