Shillong, September 24: In a tragic incident, a 53-year-old doctor serving at a community health center met a brutal fate when he was beaten to death by individuals over an alleged land dispute in Sultanpur of UP.

As per IANS, Dr. Ghanshyam Tripathi, stationed at the Jaisinghpur Community Health Centre, lost his life in the Kotwali area. The local police have initiated an investigation into the matter and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.

Authorities have launched raids to apprehend the suspects involved in this horrific incident. Superintendent of Police (SP) Somen Burma stated that the culprits would be apprehended promptly, with multiple teams, including city police units, conducting these search operations.

The wife of Dr. Tripathi, Nisha Tripathi, made a distressing allegation, asserting that individuals residing in Narainpur were responsible for her husband’s tragic demise, all due to a contentious land dispute.

Recounting the events leading up to the incident, Nisha Tripathi explained, “My husband came home in the evening, borrowed Rs 3,000 from me, citing it was for someone preparing a map. After enjoying some snacks at home, he left but returned later, injured, in a rickshaw.”

According to Nisha, her husband identified his attackers as the son of Jagdish Narain Singh, a resident of Narainpur. Dr. Tripathi received immediate medical attention at the district hospital, but sadly, succumbed to his injuries. The grieving wife revealed that the dispute revolved around a piece of land situated behind the Saraswati Shishu Mandir.

Upon learning of this distressing incident, BJP District President Dr. R. A. Verma and former MLA Devmani Dubey rushed to the district hospital. Former legislator Dev Mani Dwivedi urged the administration to take resolute action against those responsible for this heinous act.
