TURA, Oct 4: Garo filmmaker Dominic Sangma has once again brought laurels to the state and the Garo community in particular by bagging an award for his film Rapture during the Asia Pacific Screen Awards held at Brisbane, Australia.
The film received the Cultural Diversity Award at the film festival. Earlier, Rapture was also screened at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The film has been selected for screening at the 28th Busan International Film Festival in China and Indian Film Festival.
Sangma has expressed appreciation to all those involved who made the achievement possible.
