All 26 students stranded in Sikkim return home

SHILLONG, Oct 7: All the twenty-six students stranded in Sikkim returned home safe and sound on Saturday evening.
The students took a bus from Sikkim on Friday evening and reached the Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Mawlai Mawiong on Saturday.
The students were grateful to the state government for its prompt response in bring them back to the state.
“Nothing is like being in the comfort of your home family and friends. I am thankful to the state government,” said one of the students.
Sharing her experience, another girl said they were left without electricity and all means of communications with the family were down.
She hoped that things would change for the better in Sikkim and they can return back to their respective institutes to continue their studies.
