Shillong, Oct 7: In a stunning display of skill and determination, HK Singh Memorial Secondary School, based in Jowai, Meghalaya, has made significant strides in the 62nd Edition of the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament Under-14 (Sub Junior Boys).
Their journey to the quarterfinals has been nothing short of remarkable.
The defining moment came when HK Singh Memorial Secondary School faced off against Chawngfianga Middle School Saidan from Kolasib, Mizoram, and emerged victorious with a score of 1-0. The pivotal goal was netted by the talented team from Meghalaya in the 16th minute of a fiercely contested match. Mizoram made several valiant attempts but failed to breach HK Singh Memorial Secondary School’s defense.
Buoyed by this win, HK Singh Memorial Secondary School showcased their prowess in subsequent matches. They recorded an impressive 3-0 triumph against Sainik School and followed it up with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Maharashtra. With these victories under their belt, HK Singh Memorial SS now looks forward to the quarterfinals with high spirits and unwavering determination.
In the upcoming quarterfinal clash, HK Singh Memorial Secondary School will face IPSC, aiming to continue their impressive run in the Subroto Cup.
