PM Modi celebrates India’s record medal haul at Hangzhou Asian Games

Shillong, October 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian contingent’s outstanding performance at the Hangzhou Asian Games, achieving the highest-ever medal tally.

As per IANS, in a statement, Modi said, “What a historic achievement for India at the Asian Games! The entire nation is overjoyed that our incredible athletes have brought home the highest-ever total of 107 medals, marking the best performance in the last 60 years.”

He continued to commend the athletes, saying, “The unwavering determination, relentless spirit, and hard work of our players have made the nation proud. Their victories have provided memorable moments, inspired us all, and reaffirmed our commitment to excellence.”

India’s impressive haul included 28 gold medals, 38 silver medals, and 41 bronze medals in the Asian Games.
