Shillong, October 10: Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, declares no negotiations on hostages while facing continued Israeli airstrikes.

Hamas launched a significant attack on southern Israel on October 7 in response to perceived Zionist aggression at the Al-Aqsa compound in Jerusalem. Israel’s actions, including killings and injuries of Palestinians, have prompted this retaliation.

Hamas claims to hold over 100 hostages in Gaza, warning of executions if Israel targets Gazans without warning. Israel’s UN ambassador believes there may be up to 150 hostages.

Multiple countries report missing or dead nationals, including the US, France, the UK, Thailand, Mexico, and Russia. German-Israeli citizen Shani Louk was abducted during an open-air festival on October 7 when Hamas attacked, resulting in 260 casualties.
