Shillong, October 30: Following the sudden and tragic death of ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry in his hot tub at the age of 54 on the night of October 28, a 17-year-old neighbor revealed their distressing experience.

Living next door to Matthew Perry in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades, the teen and their siblings were left deeply disturbed by witnessing the emergency response to the actor’s passing. Emergency workers were seen in Perry’s backyard from their vantage point over the fence, according to aceshowbiz.com.

The young neighbor recollected the moment, saying, “I was actually home when the ambulance showed up and looked outside. They were outside my neighbor’s door. It was very disturbing, and very sad after all those years… from what he’s gone through and his addictions and whatever. I saw everything – I feel bad for my younger siblings.”

Despite the sorrow, the neighbor shared a positive memory of Perry, describing him as a friendly and down-to-earth individual. “Very nice genuine guy. I’ve always looked up to Matthew, and he’s probably one of my favorite actors of all time. I just hope his friends and family can come together at this time.”

Matthew Perry had recently moved to the home in Pacific Palisades by the beach after selling his multi-million-dollar penthouse. He had spent months renovating the swimming pool and backyard. However, the construction noise only ceased about a week ago, leaving him with little time to enjoy the newly remodeled space.

Perry had a regular sober coach and friends in recovery who spent time with him, but it’s reported that he spent most of his days alone with his assistant. His untimely passing has left a sense of profound sadness in his neighborhood and among his fans.
