CM launches website for Sainik Welfare

By Our Reporter SHILLONG, Oct 30: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, on Monday, launched the website of Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Government of Meghalaya, at the 24th Rajya Sainik Board meeting held at Secretariat, Shillong. The progress of construction of Sainik Rest House in Shillong, establishment of Zila Sainik Board and Sainik Rest House at Tura, sanction of welfare organiser officers, cash grant to gallantry award recipients, induction of skilled technical manpower, establishment of Sainik school in the state and release of grants and ex gratia etc., were among the topics that were discussed during the meeting. Also present during the meeting were Leader of opposition, Ronnie V Lyngdoh, and Chief Secretary DP Wahlang.
