Shad Nongkrem concludes on high note

Shillong, Nov 2: The annual harvest dance festival, Shad Nongkrem concluded today amidst thousands of onlookers.

The festival aims to seek blessings from the almighty for a bountiful harvest in the upcoming harvest season. There were a total of 288 dancers out of which 170 were females and 118 males.

Decked up in traditional Khasi attire, they danced to the traditional tunes in the Ing Sad Smit in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, KHADC CEM, Pyniaid Sing Syeim, Syiem of Hima Khyrim, Balajied Sing Syiem, DGP LR Bishnoi, Legislators Shakliar Warjri, Ardent Miller Bassaiwmoit among others.
