Motorist dies in accident on NH-6

SHILLONG, Nov 5: A motorist lost his life in a road accident on NH-6 at Sahdaloi Thadmuthlong Phramer, West Jaintia Hills, on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police of West Jaintia Hills, a 12-wheeler truck had accidently ran over the motorist on the highway.
The victim, presumed to be 35-45 years of age, appeared to be a member of the tribal community, the statement said. His lifeless body was found at the accident spot with serious head injury. Police said he succumbed to his injuries.
Till the time of filing of this report, the deceased was not identified.
