Shillong, Nov 12: In a stunning display of skill and prowess, the Shillong Lajong FC Under-19 team emerged victorious against United Chirang Duar FC with an impressive 5-0 win during the Oil-DFA All India Level Under-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament 2023 held in Duliajan, Assam on Sunday.
The Shillong Lajong U19 players showcased their exceptional talent on the field, securing their dominance with goals scored by key team members. Badondor Marbaniang contributed one goal to the team’s success, while Nihaar Manorama displayed exceptional skill by netting two goals. Samchaphrang Lato and Banlamkupar Rynjah each added one goal to the tally.The standout performance of Nihaar Manorama did not go unnoticed, as he was rightfully awarded the prestigious title of Player-of-the-Match for his crucial contributions, particularly his brace that significantly bolstered Shillong Lajong’s commanding lead.The Oil-DFA All India Level Under-19 Inter-Academy Invitational Football Tournament has proven to be a platform for emerging talent to shine, and Shillong Lajong FC’s U19 team has undoubtedly made a strong statement with their remarkable 5-0 triumph over United Chirang Duar FC.
