NFR operates special trains amid festive rush

Guwahati, Nov 13: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is operating more festive special trains to meet the escalating demand of passengers during the festive season.

NFR officials here said that the additional festive special trains are connecting major destinations and maintaining their punctuality.

“Operation of these festive special trains will also help in clearing the extra rush of waiting listed passengers in regular trains,” an official said.

The festive special train number 05974 (New Tinsukia – Madhubani) will run for three trips every Tuesday from November 14 to 28, 2023. In the return direction, train number 05973 (Madhubani-New Tinsukia) will run for three trips every Wednesday from November 15 to 29, 2023.

Accordingly, four trips of the festive special train number 07602/07601 (Agartala-Dharmanagar-Agartala) and festive special train number 07604/07603 (Agartala – Sabroom – Agartala) have been scheduled between Monday and Thursday in both directions.

Likewise, festive special train number 05978 (Dibrugarh-Gorakhpur) will run for three trips every Monday till November 27, 2023. In the return direction, train number 05977 (Gorakhpur-Dibrugarh) will run for three trips every Wednesday from November 15 to 29, 2023.

Sources also informed that train number 02301/02302 (Howrah-New Jalpaiguri-Howrah) Vande Bharat Special will operate for three trips every Wednesday from November 15 to 29, 2023 in both directions.

The details of stoppages and timings of these festive special trains have been made available on IRCTC’s website and notified in the media and social networking platforms of NF Railway.
