SHILLONG, Dec 4: The meeting between the state government and the Harijan Panchayat Committee is scheduled to take place on December 7, according to a submission made by the government on Monday to the High Court of Meghalaya.
Advocate-General Amit Kumar, appearing on behalf of the state, told the court during Monday’s hearing that the bereavement in the family of the HPC attorney prevented the parties from meeting as planned, as was indicated in the order of the court dated November 8, 2023.
The court deferred the hearing to allow the parties to take part in the said meeting and asked the state government to file a report with the court.
