Smit battle back for victory; Pohkseh thump Imson

Shillong, Dec 4: Smit SC came from two goals to one down to win 3-2 against Lumshyiap SC in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, here on Monday.
The other match of the day, also in Group B, saw Pohkseh SC hammer Imson SC 3-0.
It was Smit who took the lead in the 14th minute through Bankyrshan Ryngdang but a brace before half time from Aldomac Nongneng (37′, 39′) gave Lumshyiap a 2-1 lead.
Late in the game, Kalbest Pathaw (77′) and Dameshwa Nongneng (79′) first pulled Smit level before putting the club in front once again.
Earlier, a goal each was scored for Pohkseh by Reinjoywell Wartde (5′), Wanjoplang Khriam (31′) and Bradley Kharkongor (60′) as they had no difficulties against Imson.
