SHILLONG, Dec 5: Six officers and nine personnels of Meghalaya Civil Defence and Home Guards Organisation were awarded Commendation Disc and Certificate from the Director General Civil Defence, Ministry of Home Office, New Delhi on the eve of the 61st Raising Day of Civil Defence and Home Guards.
Awardees M K Sangma, Joint Director of Civil Defence, RP Khongwar, Joint Commandant General of Home Guards, B Mukhim, Senior Staff Officer, Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, and B Kharkongor, Commandant, Central Training Institute, CD & HG bagged the DGCD, MHA, New Delhi, Gold Disc.
Silver Disc was awarded to PH Shylla, Divisional Commandant of Home Guards, and G Kharumnuid, Junior Staff Officer, Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards.
