Shillong, Dec 7: In a thrilling Semifinal clash on Thursday, the Shillong Lajong reserve team emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Harisinga FC of Udalguri in the Golaghat Invitational Football Tournament 2023.
Banlamkupar Rynjah and Manjit Singh each contributed a goal to secure the team’s advancement to the final.
Having sealed their spot in the championship match, Lajong await the outcome of the other Semifinal, featuring United Chirang Duar FC, Chirang, and Zasivi Peseyie FC, Kohima.The date for the tournament final, slated for either December 9 or 10, 2023, remains unconfirmed at this time.
