Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong Mission Compound, Shillong, will conduct its annual cleaning drive beginning 7 am on Saturday. All movements of vehicular traffic to and out of the locality will be restricted until the programme is completed. The Dorbar has appealed to the general public to bear with the inconvenience and stated that sincere efforts will be made to complete the programme at the earliest.

The Shillong Times first appeared as a tabloid weekly on 10th August 1945 under the editorship of Late Sudhindra Bhusan Chaudhuri. In 1958 it was converted to a Daily. Owing to financial constraints, within six months it reverted back to a weekly.
