Adamas University wins title

Kolkata, Dec 9: The East Zone Inter University Women’s Table Tennis Tournament 2023, hosted by Royal Global University, concluded on a high note last Sunday, culminating in two days of fierce competition.
Adamas University, representing West Bengal, emerged as the champions, hoisting the winner’s trophy.
The University of Calcutta secured the first runner-up position, while LN Mithila University from Bihar claimed the second runner-up spot. The team from Jadavpur University secured the fourth position. Dipanwita Basu of Adamas University received the prestigious title of the Best Player of the Tournament.
The women’s tournament featured the participation of 20 teams, showcasing exceptional team spirit, skills, and sportsmanship. Participants not only engaged in intense competition but also had the opportunity to express their passion for the game and exhibit mutual respect.
The competition venue drew a substantial number of spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere on the final day.
The closing ceremony promptly followed the Awards Ceremony, marking the successful conclusion of this edition of the East Zone Inter University Women’s Table Tennis Tournament. (Agencies)
