State fighters bring laurel at Pro MMA League

SHILLONG, Dec 11: Youths of the state representing Ka Shlem School of Martial Arts won laurel after winning their debut matches in the Youth Championship, Pro MMA League held in Mumbai from December 8-10, 2023.
Wanraplang Khongsit won in the 56 kg category. He wins came by TKO, unanimous decision and in the final he won by submission.
Meanwhile, Kampher Nongkynrih scored the fastest win of the meet by beating his opponent via submission within 10 seconds. The opponent who was to face him in the finals forfeited, making Kampher the winner in the under 16 years 52 kg category.
Tosanhame Marweiñ, on the other hand had to forfeit his fight due to an error in the fixture by of the Pro MMA League organisers. Marweiñ, therefore, missing his debut match, team coach Albanrilang Pearson MylliemUmlong said.
