Tura, Dec 18: TMC Youth leader Richard Marak on Monday blamed both the NPP led MDA government in the state as well as the NDA government at the centre, for various pending dues and benefits meant for the people.

“Both the NPP-led MDA government and the BJP-led NDA government at the center should be held accountable for the pending dues, including MGNREGA, PMAY, PM-Kisan, specially-abled, widow, and old age pension schemes, etc. It’s crucial to ask whether it is due to the state government’s incompetency or the central government’s lack of attention. With power comes responsibility, and it’s their duty to ensure that the people receive what is rightfully theirs,” Marak said, in a statement.

He said that the dues were not gifts or favors, but the hard-earned money of the people and should be paid immediately, especially before Christmas. Pointing out that the need of the hour was to give people what they rightfully deserve, Marak urged both the Central and the State governments to take responsibility and address the issue promptly.
