Final draft of electoral rolls on Jan 5

Shillong, Jan 4: The chief electoral officer of Meghalaya informed here on Thursday that the final publication of electoral rolls will be published by the respective deputy commissioners and sub-divisional officers on January 5.
According to the notification, Chief Electoral Officer B D R Tiwari in a meeting convened with representatives of all political parties informed that the Special Summary Revision with January 1, 2024, as the qualifying date is over.
|‘All political parties are requested to inform their district units to collect the same from the office of the deputy commissioner (E) and SDO (E)’.
Meanwhile, the district election officer, East Khasi Hills has informed that the final of the last part of the electoral rolls, list of amendments to the draft photo electoral rolls, and the list of amendments of the final electoral roll of Mawryngkneng, Pynthorumkhrah, Mawlai, East Shillong, North Shillong, West Shillong, South Shillong, Mylliem, Nongthymmai, Nongkrem, Sohiong, Mawphlang, Mawsynram, Pynursla and Mawkynrew Assembly constituencies have been published and prepared concerning January 1, 2024 as the qualifying date,
and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
‘The lists are available for inspection at the office of the district election officer, East Khasi Hills, and record offices/authorities during working hours on all working days and by logging on http://servicevoter.nic.in’.
