SHILLONG, Jan 9: A one-day round table conference for sensitization and to enable self-compilation of ASI returns through the ASI web portal by the concerned units was held here on Tuesday.
The programme was organised by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, National Sample Survey Office (Field Operations Division) Regional Office, Shillong.
Stressing the importance of ASI data as it is instrumental in estimating the contribution of manufacturing units at the National and State level GDP, Deputy Director/HO, NSSO (FOD), RO, Shillong M Nongrum, urged participating units to give reliable and accurate information as incorrect information can convey a wrong image of the country’s economic growth.
