Pipping ceremony for officers

SHIILLONG, Jan 10: The recently promoted officers were pinned with the new epaulettes, here, at the Police Headquarters, on Wednesday. The pipping ceremony was graced by LR Bishnoi, Director General of Police.
DP Marak, formerly Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB/Border), has been promoted to the position of Inspector General of Police (SB/Border), while Raghvendra Kumar, previously Special Superintendent of Police (CID), now holds the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR).
CA Lyngwa, Commandant of the 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong, has been elevated to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police (TAP), while Jubi G Momin, Superintendent of Police (AID), has been promoted to Senior Superintendent of Police (AID).
Pawar Swapnil Vasantrao, formerly Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar), is now the Commandant of the 1st MLP Bn, Mawiong, and Pankaj Kumar Rasgania, previously SDPO (Dadenggre), has been promoted to Special Superintendent of Police (CID).
Vikash Varma, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Tura), now holds the position of Superintendent of Police (SCRB), while other officers have also been promoted to the role of Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs).
During the ceremony, the Director General of Police extended congratulations to all the newly promoted officers, wishing them success in their future endeavors.
