TURA, Jan 18: The AHAM from Baghmara in South Garo Hills has raised with district authorities, the issue of the incomplete construction of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Secondary School at Wagebokgre and Attabenga villages under Gasuapara Block in the same district.
The organisation recently met district officials concerned including the Additional Deputy Commissioner, District Sub-Division School Inspector (Primary in-charge), DSEO and the DRDA Project Director and apprised them of the situation while at the same time urging necessary steps to be taken in this regard. The meeting came following a visit to Wagebokgre village by leaders of the organization.
The organization said that as per locals, the construction of the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) was scheduled to be completed by 2021 or 2022, as the (RMSA) school construction at Telekali village under Gasuapara block was started in the same year and completed a long time back.  “However, as of now, the construction of the said school at Wagebokgre village remains incomplete, and there have been significant delays in the progress. This has led to disruptions in the normal functioning of the school and has raised concerns about the non availability to conduct classes,” it added.
The organization leaders who were assured of action during their meeting, has urged all concerned to take necessary steps to complete the construction while also warning that further steps would be taken if there were no results.
