Nongpdeng, Jersey Kings share spoils

Shillong, Jan 24: In a riveting clash between Nongpdeng CC and Jersey Kings in the Shillong Cricket League 2nd Division, the encounter ended in a thrilling tie.
Jersey Kings won the toss and opted to bat first, posting a total of 181/10 in 19.5 overs. Bicky Raj Das showcased an impressive performance, scoring 60 runs off 33 balls, while Raj Biswas contributed 46 runs off 34 balls. The bowling prowess of Donboklang Kharkhongor and Wanbor Lamare shone as they took five and four wickets respectively.
In response, Nongpdeng CC mirrored the score of 181/10 in 19.4 overs. Maitshaphrang Khongeer and Nerrykupar Dkhar displayed excellent batting skills, scoring 53 runs off 22 balls and 61 runs off 24 balls respectively. Gopal Sunar and Krishna Magar Thapa, with two wickets each, led the bowling attack. The match concluded in a dramatic tie, with Donboklang Kharkhongor earning the Player-of-the-Match title for his outstanding five-wicket haul.In another gripping encounter, Slog Warriors clashed with The Occult in the Shillong Cricket League 2nd Division. The Occult won the toss and elected to field first, putting Slog Warriors to bat. However, Slog Warriors could only manage a total of 113/10 in 18.4 overs. Rakesh Rai top-scored with 33 runs off 35 balls, and Prabhakar Thurah contributed 20 runs off 12 balls..In reply, The Occult successfully chased down the target, reaching 117/5. Pynbhalang Kharsati and Saqib Khan played crucial innings, scoring 30 runs off 35 balls and 23 runs off 17 balls respectively. The Occult emerged victorious.
