Shillong, Jan 27: In a thrilling Under-17 Youth League encounter at the IGAS Practice Pitch in Guwahati, Northeast United and Shillong Lajong played to an exciting 2-2 draw. The match showcased remarkable performances from both teams, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.
The scoring action kicked off with Laishram of Northeast United finding the back of the net in the 29th minute, providing an early lead for the home team. However, Shillong Lajong quickly responded, with Ribor Lyngdoh netting a goal in the 22nd minute to level the score.As the second half commenced, Rohit of Northeast United regained the lead for his team, scoring in the 49th minute. The match continued to be intensely contested, with both sides displaying commendable skills and determination.
Shillong Lajong, refusing to be outdone, showcased their resilience, and Ribor Lyngdoh scored once again in the 74th minute, securing the crucial equalizer. The teams fought fiercely in the remaining minutes, but neither could break the deadlock.
