JOWAI, Jan 27: As part of the festivities of the 75th Republic Day celebrations, the Amlarem Sub-Division marked the occasion by inaugurating a Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(PMAY) house for Lily Tariang in HawaiBhoi, a border village in Amlarem C&RD Block. The house was constructed in collaboration with Jaintia Hills Development Society(JHDS) through Khublei Germany.
Despite challenges posed by distance and road conditions, construction materials were managed to complete the PMAY-G house within three months.
The Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Amlarem Sub-Division, appreciated collaborative efforts to fulfill the construction of all PMAY-G houses under Amlarem C&RD Block.
The Secretary of HwaiBhoi village extended thanks to the PD and District Rural Development Agency(DRDA) for their assistance to Lily Tariang. The event also featured a self-composed song of gratitude from Pynskhemlang VO.
