Meeting
The annual general body meeting of Shillong Central Rongali Bihu Celebration Committee, Shillong, will be held at Assam Club, Laban, at 4 pm on Sunday. The Committee has urged all its members and well-wishers to attend the meeting, which will be followed by light refreshment.
Unclaimed body
One Iso Chaudhary (47) was found injured after a hit-and-run incident on National Highway-6 on February 3 around 7 pm, The Superintendent of Police, Ri Bhoi District, said in a statement issued here. The injured person was subsequently transported to Umsning CHC and later to NEIGRIHMS, Shillong. He, however, succumbed to his injuries on February 5. Following all legal formalities, the deceased’s body was transferred to the mortuary room of NEIGRIMS Shillong for claiming. He is 6-ft tall, swarthy-complexioned and has tattoos on his right forearm and left wrist.

The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has inducted new leaders into its fold. The inducted leaders include Timjim K Momin as Vice President and Ebozez T Sangma as Secretary.
