NPP, TMC, BJP leaders join Congress in Garo Hills

TURA, March 17: Party leaders and workers of the TMC, NPP and BJP in Garo Hills, numbering around 2,000, reportedly joined the Congress party here on Sunday.
The joining took place in the presence of AICC coordinator Brigady N Marak, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) secretary Roger Benny A Sangma, Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress vice president Reynold M Sangma, District Congress Committee (DCC) general secretary Prewill Ch. Marak and DCC organising secretary Dilseng A Sangma.
The development comes at a time when people are looking for a secular party and to give a viable representation in Delhi to voice out the aspiration of the people of Garo Hills and to endorse the INC candidature of Saleng A Sangma of Tura parliamentary seat.
