Prog imparts career awareness among students

SHILLONG, March 25: A career awareness programme was on Monday organised in the state capital during which students were provided guidance on employment prospects and opportunities in various fields.
According to a statement, the programme was organised under the aegis of Pro Bono Associate Club, Department of Law, NEHU Shillong, in collaboration with the Rongmei Phwam Shillong and Rongmei Chamnac Phwam Shillong.
Director & Vigilance Officer, Geological Survey of India, NER, Shillong, Gaikungam Rongmei, Provost Marshall, Eastern Air Command (EAC), Wing Commander Kaphungai Panmei, Senior Audit Officer, AG (Audit) Meghalaya, Njiangong Gangmei, Dr. Lungchuingam Malangmei from NEIGRIHMS, Prime Fellow, PSREF, Meghalaya, Kasangai Dangmei, and Advocate P. Gangmeih, were the resource persons for the awareness programme.
During the programme, which was attended by more than 100 people, the resource persons presented insightful career opportunities in various sectors ranging from armed forces, UPSC, SSC, banking and insurance, medical sciences, legal studies, entrepreneurship, etc.
As part of the programme, interactive sessions with the resource persons were also held.
