Paul says voters must know about political changes in the country

SHILLONG, April 19: UDP MLA from West Shillong, Paul Lyngdoh has stressed upon the need for electorates to be politically aware about the transformations taking place in the country.
“We would like to see that there is maturity in the mindset of the people of the state while casting their votes. We are witnessing a dangerous trend as far as the transformation which is taking place in different areas from time to time,” Lyngdoh, who is also a Cabinet minister in the MDA-II Government, told reporters after casting his vote on Friday.
He wished to see excitement and eagerness among the citizens to cast their votes. “Who wins the election is not that important. But participation of the people in the election process is more important in a democracy,” Lyngdoh added.
