SHILLONG, April 22: The VPP has expelled two of its leaders for allegedly making statements online and offline that go against the party’s policy.
The two VPP leaders are Shanlang Warjri and Kherup Sing Thabah.
In a letter addressed to Warjri, the VPP stated that the party has taken a serious note of their statements made on social media platforms, which are unbecoming of a member of the party’s State Executive Committee (SEC).
Similarly, Thabah was told: “The party has taken serious note of your statements, actions, and behavior, which are unbecoming of an SEC member.”
The VPP maintained that their conduct was inconsistent with the values and principles of the party.
