Delhi Police’s special unit to provide concessional medical treatment

NEW DELHI, April 28: In a rare move, the Special Police Unit for Northeastern Region of Delhi Police has empanelled as many as 59 prominent hospitals to provide concessional medical treatment in the national capital to the people hailing from the Northeast.
Besides people from the Northeast, people from the Gorkha community of Darjeeling as well as Ladakhis will be able to avail the concessional treatment, according to a statement from PN Khrimey, Joint Commissioner, Special Police Unit for NE Region.
The empanelled hospitals include reputed brands in healthcare such as Forties, Max, Apollo and others with special care units.
To avail the facility, people will have to produce their Aadhaar Card or a letter from the Special Police Unit for North Eastern Region (SPUNER).
