U-17 girls Inter-Cluster Cricket

Shillong, April 29: Mawsynram Pink Panthers got better of Sohra Super Nova in the U-17 Girls Inter Cluster T20 Cricket Tournament 2024, organised by the East Khasi Hills District Cricket Association, on Monday.
Opting to bat first, Sohra Super Nova managed to put up a target of 109/6 in 20 overs. Adela Kmen Lawai led the scoring with 43 runs off 63 deliveries, while Laphibanri Syiemlieh impressed with the ball for Mawsynram Pink Panthers, claiming 2 wickets for 26 runs in 4 overs.
In response, Mawsynram Pink Panthers overhauled the total with 16 balls to spare. The Pink Panthers scored 112/5 in 17.2 overs. Eliza Lyngdoh top-scored with 58 runs off 52 balls. Adela Kmen Lawai was the pick of the bowlers for Sohra Super Nova, taking 1 wicket for just 10 runs in 4 overs.
Ultimately, Mawsynram Pink Panthers emerged victorious by 5 wickets, with Eliza Lyngdoh being named the Player of the Match for her impactful performance.
The final of the U-17 Girls Inter Cluster tournament will be played between Mawsynram Pink Panthers and Sohra Super Nova on May 1 at 8.30 am, at Shortimai Syiem, Smit.
Meanwhile, the final of the (L) Benjamin Diengdoh Memorial U-15 Boys Inter Cluster tournament between Sohra Cluster (A) and Mawsynram Cluster is also scheduled on the same day at 12 pm.
