Awareness prog on NEP for students

TURA, May 26: The ICFAI University Tura Campus organised a career counselling programme alongside an insightful awareness programme on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programme was held at Springfield HS School, Ampati, South West Garo Hills, on Friday.
All together 156 students comprising Class 12 passed and final year degree students from Ampati Degree College, participated in the programme.
Assistant Professor Dr Brenda D Marak from the Department of Management, ICFAI University Tura Campus, shed light on the vast array of career opportunities in entrepreneurship, while emphasising on the various government schemes available to support budding start-ups.
On the other hand, Assistant Professor and Head of the IT Department, Sumit Dey, shared insights on career paths in management and IT.
He further delved into an informative session on NEP 2020, elucidating the transformative reforms introduced by the central government and their impact on the educational landscape. Students gained valuable perspectives on the policy’s objectives, implications for students and educators, and its broader implications for the Indian education sector.
Senior Administrative Officer at ICFAI University Meghalaya, Tura Campus, Muktadul Hussain, showcased the diverse range of educational courses offered by the university, providing students with a glimpse into the expansive academic opportunities available.
Earlier, Principal of Springfield H S School, Ampati, Alno A Sangma, extended her wholehearted support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of educational guidance and career counseling for aspiring students.
