Banridor Kharbyngar has been awarded Ph.D. by North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong for his research work on ‘Studies on genetic diversity of rhizobial symbionts associated with legumes of Meghalaya’, which he completed under the joint supervision of Prof. SR Joshi and Prof (Retd) SR Rao of Department of Biotechnology & Bioinformatics, NEHU. He is the son of Holland Kharkongor and Peacefulda Giri Kharbyngar of Pynshongkhla Smit.
