NEW DELHI, June 25: Meghalaya minister and senior BJP leader, Alexander Laloo Hek, was awarded as the Most Promising and Energetic Minister by the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Award Films Organisation in a grand ceremony held in Dubai on Tuesday.
Hek was among several notable figures from various sectors, including the film industry, education, entrepreneurship, religious leadership, and legal professions, who were honored by the non-governmental organisation.
A minister from BJP-ruled Rajasthan was also conferred an award at the event.
It is pertinent to recall that Hek, earlier this year, had received the Best Minister and Social Worker award for his contributions to the state and the country.
The award was presented by then Union Minister of State for Social Justice, Ramdas Athawale, in New Delhi, who praised Hek’s tireless efforts towards the society.
