Domestic help kills employer for not paying salary
GURUGRAM, July 7: A servant allegedly murdered his employer for not paying him his salary for past three months.Rajiv Ojha, was murdered by his servant Arjun Kumar on Saturday night.Ojha ran a general store and used to live alone in a flat in the same society.According to the police, the deceased’s daughter told the police that on Saturday night around 8 pm, someone informed her about the murder of her father.Upon receiving the information, she, along with her mother and younger brother, reached her father’s flat where she found her father’s body lying on the floor. They immediately informed the police.During the investigation, police nabbed the accused from Agra.During questioning the accused revealed that he had been working at Ojha’s general store for the past three months and when he asked for his salary an argument broke out between them.Following the arguments, the accused killed the victim on June 31 with a sharp-edged weapon inside his flat and fled the spot. Surat building collapse: Death toll rises to 7
SURAT, July 7: The death toll in the collapse of a six-storey building in Gujarat’s Surat city has gone up to seven with the recovery of six more bodies overnight, police said on Sunday.The residential building, located in Pal area, collapsed at around 2.45 pm on Saturday.While a woman was rescued soon after the collapse, the body of a man was pulled out on Saturday night, an official earlier said.Rescue teams later pulled out six more bodies from the debris, according to police.After the incident, the rescue operation was launched with the help of teams of the NDRF and local fire department. 3 killed, as building collapses in Deoghar
DEOGHAR, (Jharlhand) July 7: At least three persons were killed and eight others were injured after being buried under the debris of a two-storey building that collapsed in Jharkhand’s Deoghar district on Sunday, officials said.The rescue operation that began at 6 am concluded around 4 pm, they said.An official said 11 people were trapped under the rubble after the building collapsed in the town early this morning.Four children were rescued by the local people. All the seven people were taken to the Deoghar Sadar Hospital, and “three of them were declared dead” by doctors of the health facility, the official said. (PTI)

Child dies after falling through railing gap
KOLKATA, July 7: A six-year-old boy died after allegedly falling through a gap in the railing on the fifth-floor staircase of a building in Ballygunge here, police said on Sunday.The boy, son of a domestic help Durga Nayek, was playing with his elder sister on the fifth floor, where they lived in the service quarters, when the a accident happened around 9.15 PM on Saturday, police added.“The boy lost his balance and slipped through the gap in the railing, falling to the ground floor,” a police officer said.He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. (PTI)
