Larry Kharpran appointed observer for boxing event at Paris Olympics

Shillong, July 19: Larry Kharpran, a seasoned boxer and coach from Meghalaya, has been appointed as an Observer for the boxing events at the Paris Olympics 2024. The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) made this announcement on Thursday, confirming Kharpran’s role for the event scheduled from July 26th to July 30th.
In addition, the BFI revealed that six Indian boxers will be competing at the Paris Olympics. Ajay Singh, the President of the BFI, will lead the Indian delegation attending the boxing events.
This appointment marks a significant achievement for Larry Kharpran and underscores the growing recognition of Meghalaya’s contributions to Indian boxing. As an Observer, Kharpran will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the boxing events and upholding the integrity of the sport.
His selection is a testament to his expertise and dedication to boxing, which has been instrumental in nurturing talent and promoting the sport in the region.
