Dy CM Dhar inspects road work in Nartiang

JOWAI, July 20: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar, on Friday, conducted an inspection of the under-construction Ummulong-Tyrshang-Bamkamar road under Nartiang, which is about 22 kilometers long. Dhar was accompanied by PWD Engineer Y Shangpliang, SDO PWD, Jowai Central Division, O Thubru, village elders and others.
After the inspection, it was declared that the construction was 90 per cent complete. The road construction began in 2022. It is supposed to be completed by 2025 at a cost of over Rs 42 crore.
During the inspection, Deputy CM Dhar requested the officers of the department to take follow-up action and monitor the work for smooth completion of the work.
