SHILLONG, July 26: The Harijan Panchayat Committee and the state government have submitted before the High Court of Meghalaya that progress has been made on the issue of negotiation between the two parties with regard to the relocation of residents from Harijan Colony.
The court on Friday heard R Khatri, counsel for the petitioner (HPC) as well as Advocate General Amit Kumar who appeared on behalf of the respondent (state government).
Both the counsels submitted that some more issues are required to be resolved and prayed for additional time for the matter to be disposed of which was accepted by the court before adjourning the matter.
